Background
Information rights Act -2009 and people’s right to information enhance Transparency and Accountability of Govt., autonomous, non-govt. institutions as a result corruption reduce and good governance prevail in the system. Information Rights law will help to break secrecy traditions. Besides people can be government development partner. By using personal or cluster of information people will contribute to increase national production and socio-economic development of the country. So establish information So establish information rights act CCBVO working to aware the targeted people on Right to Information Act-2009 (RTI) along with the Constitution of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh in the urban and rural level working areas. It is an important thing to achieve. For achieving the goal CCBVO has implemented Campaign for Right to Information (RTI) from 2011 to 2018. In 2019 CCBVO has implemented Campaign for Citizen Right to Information(CRTI) program as pilot phase. Considering the achievements and need of the CRTI program is running its 1st phase with own fund of CCBVO.
Goal: Aware people about laws of Citizen Rights i.e. raising people’s knowledge about constitution.
Objectives:
- Aware people about Information Rights Act-2009 along with the Constitution of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh
- Aware people about the procedure of getting information.
- Building up good relation between civil society & govt. institutions to remove obstacles in getting information.
- Identifying obstacles in getting information and initiate social move to resolve it.
- Creating inter-relation among Media, Civil Society & Govt. institutions to ensure free information flow.
Working Area: Rajshahi City Corporation, Poba & Godagari Sub-district of Rajshahi.
